FIDEA has been contributing to the development of Latvia as a regional innovation centre since 2006, the year it started cooperation with the Institute of Solid-State Physics at the University of Latvia. To strengthen specialisation in the development of innovations, FIDEA facilitated the creation of a unified Platform of Competence Centres, which continues to contribute to the sustainable development of research, commerce and the country through its joint activities.
